So, that’s another Christmas done and with it, another Christmas story. Which also means that another one must be underway.
In fact, three are underway. I have actually already started writing this year’s. I started, in fact, on Christmas Day itself, largely because I was given a splendid new notebook by one of Rowan’s children and couldn’t wait to start using it.
Also, as we did last year, I’m serialising an old story on this Substack. This year’s serial is ‘An All Too Magical Christmas’, a report made by the duty magician for the City of London of year when Christmas comes too early and he has to try and set everything right again.
As with last year’s serialisation of ‘Deadvent Calendar’, this old story is kind of in keeping with the story I’m writing now, so it should hopefully give a nice lead in for this coming Christmas (only 10 months to go!).
What’s different with this tear’s is that we’re releasing it as a Substack podcast. This might be a little redundant, as it already exists as a podcast, of course, but Substack offers this nice feature whereby it will convert video into audio for podcast subscribers. This means I can upload the videos of each episode I’ve been making for YouTube and you can watch them here, or subscribe as a podcast. Hopefully this means we can reach a few more people, and give more people more ways to enjoy the stories.
But then there’s the third story we’re working on, which is really a blast from the past.
