February is too short. As is my plot.
Putting together any kind of story is a process of contraction and expansion, pruning and pleaching, cutting and adding. I spent most of January having ideas and now I have spent most of February throwing them away. You want as many ideas as possible because you never know what's going to work, but once (you think) you know what's going to work, you're then going to start the binning. You need to refine your story down to its essence, the pure plot.
Then you start having more ideas again, because now you know what your story is, you need to tell it: add context, explanation, action.
Which is where my problem is.
